There is a reason why activated charcoal powder saw a popularity boom a few years ago. As a detoxifying substance, activated charcoal has been used in oral care, skin care, detox drinks, deodorant, and more. The powder’s benefits and ability to help draw out bacteria, toxins and dirt from your body has made this a game changer in the beauty industry.
You may have been a part of the movement or perhaps you just witnessed it, but we’re here to help you use up your charcoal with some DIY beauty remedies. So go ahead, grab it off your shelf, and let’s bring back some charcoal.

Leave to dry for 15 minutes, rinse with warm water and dry your face. Apply a moisturizer on your skin after.
This DIY face mask can be applied once or twice a week for best results without over drying your skin. We recommend reviewing the ingredients in your activated charcoal powder and testing on a small patch of skin prior to using.
Add to Your Shampoo
This one is easy.
To help you get rid of oily, flat and dirty feeling hair, just mix in a teaspoon of activated charcoal powder into your favorite shampoo or conditioner. Then you will wash and rinse your hair as you normally would, all while reaping the benefits of added volume and cleanliness.
Working in the same way as the mask, the charcoal powder will pull out the toxins and purify your hair and possibly reduce dandruff and itchiness. You’re welcome, scalp.
